Well considering that I have only lived in two places my whole life. Two places that arent very far from each other. It should be fairly easy to answer these 2 questions.
First the 5 things I hate about where I live...
1) the weather: not all the weather just hate the strong to severe storms & hot temps we get in the spring & summer months(esp. this yr). And also the super cold below 40 temps we get in the winter months and all the snow and bad road conditions. Not to say that I dont like a lil snow. Its when we keep accumalating more and more snow and have more than 3 inches on the ground. And also when the roads get bad cuz either they are icy or cuz they are filled with snow cuz the snow trucks are too slow at getting all the roads cleared or there isnt enough funds to get the trucks out there.
2) the schools: i wont even go into this. if you've gone to the schools round here you understand.
3) high gas prices: we get screwed here in MI. not to say other places in the states and around the world dont pay more than us but ya.
4) bad roads/highways/etc
5) nothing to do: we arent a small town or anything. but there isnt much to do here. go to the movies, go out to eat, shop, go to bars or mini golf. you can only do all this stuff at the same places for so long before it gets boring. and all the stuff there is to do they end up closing places and putting in their place stupid stuff or becomes an abandon lot or whaever.
Now for the good stuff....
1) d&r's daily grind resturant: great food @ decent prices and great ppl who run it and great new cook and waitresses/waitors.
2) autumn/fall time
3) fairs
I cant think of anything to put for 4 & 5.
As for how does it compare to where I used to live well I cant say much as I only lived in previous place for the first 2.5 yrs of my life. But having heard about where I used to live and going by the house from time to time. I can say that the place I live now is bigger and has a bigger yard. The place I live now is in a better part of the county. The schools are a lil better here than there. There are more places to go or rather are closer together. Etc.
